Warner Bros. and DC have been teasing the uniting of the Justice League all week, with posters, teaser trailers, and websites all heralding a future trailer. Now that trailer is finally here, and it’s time to get excited for Justice League.
Justice League currently enjoys a 4.06 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings, and this trailer will only add to it. Seeing the team working together will undoubtedly inspire some giddiness, and it did an amazing job of highlighting the newer characters like Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman. The question now is, where’s Superman?
You can view the official synopsis below.
In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ciarán Hinds, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg.
DC and Warner Bros. have a full slate ahead, with Teen Titans: The Judas Contract coming first on April 4, 2017. After that it’s time for Wonder Woman on June 2, 2017, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017. The Batman is expected sometime in 2018, with The Flash debuting on March 23, 2018. Aquaman is set for October 5, 2018, and Nightwing’s solo feature is due sometime in 2019.
The Justice League content just keeps on coming! After releasing a logo poster and character posters for Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg, Warner Bros. has brought everyone together for another awesome new poster.
As you can see in the poster above, one valuable member of the Justice League is missing… and that’s Superman. After he died in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, they’ll probably use him sparingly in Justice League marketing. I would still expect him to show up at the end of the new Justice League trailer that’s coming tomorrow though.
